St. John Lutheran offers a Sunday School and Confirmation Class for school aged children. Sunday morning activities include devotions, classroom Bible lessons, and music activities. During Advent there is often a service project that the children can help out with, and for Easter there is usually a special program following our annual Easter Breakfast.
Adult Bible Study
The Sunday morning Adult Bible Class includes the study of the Bible, Lutheran Doctrine and Hymns, and specific topics relevant to living in this modern age. It is an informal (coffee and tea) opportunity to learn more about the Bible and Lutheran Doctrine in a structured and informal way.
For a number of years St. John Lutheran has offered a summer Vacation Bible School (VBS) for our own children and those in the local community. Each year the activities are based on a different theme of interest to children, and a local or international mission project is part of the curriculum. The week long, half day program has the children rotating among a series of activities including opening devotions, classroom study, music, play/snack time, crafts, and closing devotions.
This year 2017 VBS will be June 26 – 30 from 9:00 am until noon for ages 4 – 12 years.
